Charlton Checkmate.

Well what can I say, he is where it all began so I thought it would be nice to put some picture's of him, taken last week, on the web-site.

He is now the grand old age of 24 having been with me for 19 years and in that time has definitely made his mark. He has produced outstanding offspring that have been successful in all disciplines. One year at The Devon County Show 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 7th were all sired by him.

He competed successfully as a young stallion winning all over the country, having also had his picture and a mention in one of the original coloured horse and pony books by Edward Hart.

I have had a lot of fun with him over the years including a few days hunting!                 He is one in a million and very dear to me     -     Jill.

This is Dolton's show pic at 3 weeks winning the foal class at Mossend show.

Dolton is by Airborn out of a Primative Proposal mare.

Mandy's Foal.

Hi Jill,

The pictures you wanted, I'm so pleased with him, I adore his head, I think he should really stand out in a show ring (thats what I've bred him for).

His personality is really coming out, he's really bold and cheeky, which again will be good for the show ring!!

I would like to use him again, also my friend would like to use him.

Many Thanks Jill

Mandy from York

Hi Jill
Thought you be glad to know Freya went to her first show with us today and gained a first premium and was second overall in the evaluation classes. The comments from the judges were fabulous, so both John and Kimberley are over the moon - well I am too of course.

She has settled in very well and the other mares we have, have accepted her really well.
Keep you updated, Kimberley will prob. let you know what the judges said.

Best wishes,

Shovern Touchdown Competing.

Fiona Rawle and Shovern Touchdown win BE100 sec C2.

Fiona Rawle rode Danda Richardson's Shovern Touchdown to a convincing win in BE100 section C2. The combination added nothing to their dressage mark to finish on 27.5.

"He's a coloured six-year-old who has started competing this year," said Fiona, 19, of Tiverton, who has been given the ride on the Phanten-sired gelding as she works full-time for Liz Mitchell at Blue Moon Eventing. "He's on the yard to bring on, but he's now done a few events and this was his first win."

Talking about the course, Fiona said: "The cross-country was brilliant and they have done a really good job with the new event. It was quite a spooky course and caused some riders a few problems, but he was really bold and really straight."
