APPLEDORE MARENGO

Skewbald 16.0hh 1993 - a son of CHARLTON CHECKMATE.

He was the most fantastic stallion to own, such a friendly chap, certainly liked to be made a fuss of. He won numerous championships all over the country - went to Hickstead and HOY's and achieved medium level dressage in the season he sadly died of colic at the age of ten - he is greatly missed.

With correct confirmation and a good straight action, he is beautifully marked and has been successfully shown in hand and under saddle. This is him at The Devon County Show when he was five years old.

A very genuine horse with an exceptionally placid temperament. A good straight mover and a natural jumper.
My very first stallion, he was thoughbred (died in 2008 at 22 years old).

RACE HORSES

I have being fortunate to have bred two very successful Race Horses. I still have the dam CALLOPE who is now 28 years old she has breed some fantastic competition horses in her time.
Had I have realised she was such a good producer at the time I would have produced more thoroughbred's from her - "hindsight is a wonderful thing". She is very happy as a nanny to the baby's in her retirement.
